Problems scraping Blood+

$

As the title states, wont scrape Blood+ properly. Instead of finding Blood+ it returns Blood a live action Japanese show about a vampire doctor or somethng like that. The folder is titled Blood+ (2005), the files are titled: Blood+ SXXEXX (Abs num) Episode Name (Year) - This is the same format I use for all my anime and it works fine on everything else. I can force it to find the correct show but every time I scan to add new shows to library it goes back to thwe wrong show

Any thoughts on a way to make it scan correctly would be appreciated.

Issues with offline scraping

Hello Kodi world,

This is my first time posting and I'm still very much a noob. I apologized if this has been brought up before but I could not find it, please point me in the right direction.

I having some difficulties with a few shows with offline scraping. Normally I scrape the shows from my laptop, export the files (separate) then move the folder to my server then import it to my HTPC from there. Unfortunately for a couple shows, namely Caprica and Fear the Walking Dead (so far), will not import, I keep getting "NO INFORMATION FOUND!" when I try to manually add the series. I can add each episode manually, but that's really a pain in the ass and I really don't want to have to keep doing that for each new episode or when I make changes to my db.

Any help and guidance would be very much appreciated.

Cheers!

Hi,
All I woud like is to view my Movie downloads folder and view movie information (all I want is to view Movie ratings from IMDB or even better Rotten Tomatoes) however I never get to see anything other than what appears default Kodi settings

I've installed various 'scrapers' Movie Database' etc but at no point does any information appear. I can only ever play a video. Pressing c or right clicking on a movie gives me (yes I've changed the skin in the hope that would fix it but alas no)

Movie name scrapers not working properly

Hi all, first post here.

I've recently formatted my PC and installed win10 with it. Picked up Kodi Krypton from the win10 app store and i've been trying to configure it. Previous point: i've been using Kodi/XBMC for years, never had this kind of issue.

What happens is that wether i choose the "tmdb" move scraper or "universal movie scraper", my movie names in all library appear in Brazilian Portuguese. I am portuguese but i don't have any setting or anything in portuguese, much less in brazilian portuguese. My windows is in english, my Kodi is in english, every setting i have on Kodi i say to appear in english (minus the subtitles), on the scraper settings i have tried "keep original title", tried forcing it to "USA/International" title, tried default values, etc. Every time it creates my library, the titles appear in portuguese.

After this, if i go to "movie information" on any movie and use refresh, it refreshes to the original title (in english).

Is there something i am missing? Is it any different on Krypton?

Thx for all the help i can get.

Cannot scrape Russian series

Hi,

I am using OSMC with the language settings as English (UK). All English shows scrape correctly and even foreign films - Der Untergang (2004)

I have a Russian TV series which is available on thetvdb as Котёнок по имени Гав. As such, I have named the folder 'Котёнок по имени Гав (1976)' with episode naming using the conventional single series format 'E01.avi' etc

The scrapper however seems to struggle to find this entry in the database. I'm pretty sure the Cyrillic characters are the issue. So I tried the translation of 'Kotenok po imeni Gav (1976)' which also returns the same entry in the database but yet it too does not seem to work. The English translation 'A Kitten named Woof (1976)' returns nothing on thetvdb however.

This is the only series I am having an issue with.

The Movie Database and illegal characters in filename

I have tried to give the add-on "The Movie Database" a try, and have stumbled into a peculiar problem.
One of my movies is "Hiroshima: Out of the Ashes" from 1990, by director Peter Werner.

The title appears in tmdb as:
https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/47421-hiro...-the-ashes

and in imdb as:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099772/

I can't get the scraper to find the correct title.
I can't rename the file verbatim and try a new search, as the colon [:] is an illegal character in any filename.

How do I solve this problem?[/size]

Wrong show every time - how do I stop it?

Any time I add TV episodes from certain shows it always adds them as a different show.
Eg: Shooter is always added as goong s (which I'd never even heard of)
I am using a centralised mariadb to store the information. I've tried to remove goong s as an option but may not have done so correctly.
If I tell Kodi to update the episodes data from the internet it corrects it to shooter.
My structure is:
Series->S->Shooter->Season 01
I'm using Kodi 17 rc 3 but this has always occurred.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Music scrapers / Artwork download not working?

$

Hi all,

I'm running on OpenElec.TV with KODI 15.1 nice and smoothly. However, for some reason it seems that, adding new music to my music library, my combo of my metadata scraper and Artwork downloader is no longer getting CD covert art downloaded (= well known albums "not recognized"?). And to clarify, there are no visibile errors e.g. from Artwork Downloader. Currently I have configured using "Universal Music scraper" but there are some "oldish" posts that it's no longer usable?

1) What do you recommend to get latest music album art in place?

2) Are there new updates for these with later KODI releases (compared to my KODI 15.1)?

And yes, I'm planning to update either to OpenElec.TV 7.x or LibreElec 8.x in future.

Thx.

thetvdb.com always scraps "House of Cards"

Recently thetvdb.com always scraps all my newly added TV shows as "House of Cards" (fan-art and episode descriptions). I tried different TV shows, all with the same result.
I enabled the debug log (see logfile), as far as I understand it, it looks like this (I used the TV show "Transparent" as an example):
  1. It correctly recognise the title and search for it in thetvdb.com
  2. The correct link is returned (id 278334)
  3. After getting the file en.zip, it extracts it and ALWAYS finds fan-art and description from "House of Cards" (id 262980)

Strangely, when I download that en.zip manually via a browser, it contains the correct fan-art and description for "Transparent" (not "House of Cards")

So it seems to me the scraping goes fine, but when downloading or after extracting the zip-file, something goes terribly wrong.

(I also tried it with a TV show that had correct information: Removed the information from database, re-scraped it, now it has "House of Cards")

Anyone faces the same problem? What to do?

Any chance of a working TVmaze fetcher/plugin? ever?

Any chance of a working TVmaze fetcher/plugin? ever?

This is so much more accurate than tvdb as of late (ref: Ancient Aliens)

They will also work with you for changes as long as the source is correct, tvdb will not. (Ref: http://forums.thetvdb.com/search.php?key...b3df084e74)

It seems that they have lost their way and are becoming almost irrelevant as far as current metadata, meaning so many series that are incomplete and not current, where tvmaze is making great headway and are more current on more items.

Also TMDB is making great headway into accuracy of TV programs, go figure

Thank you,

Ice

If the folder name is in Japanese, I can't find the metadata with the TVDB add-on.

For example, if the folder name is "この素晴らしい世界に祝福を!", I will find nothing, but there is no problem after I change the folder name to "konosuba".

Which language will theTVDB add-on choose when I set it to zh?

There are Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, which one will it choose if I set the language to zh?

Kodi not displaying TMDB results when manually selecting

Kodi has scrapped the incorrect title for whatever reason.

When I try to correct this by selecting Information->Refresh->Ignore and refresh from Internet->Select Movie

I can't see the title that I want, yet I can see it on TMDB

e.g. file called "WRC 1996 Review.mp4"

TMDB "https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/439423-world-rally-review-1996?language=en-US"

Kodi is not showing that as an option, but all the other titles for the other years.

Ideas?

Problem & Fix for scraping "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" via TheTVDB

Hi all. Just a kind of query of sorts.

I just added a few more Series to my Kodi installation, all went smooth apart from 1 Series in particular, being "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air"

My naming convention is setup as it should be and with 23 other Series, with which I have had no problem scanning into the library, all has been well.

My Naming is as follows (example given on the problem here)

E:\Media\TV Shows\The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990)\Season 1\The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air - S01E01 - The Fresh Prince Project.mkv
E:\Media\TV Shows\The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990)\Season 1\The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air - S01E02 - Bang the drum, Ashley.mkv
...

All filenames are scraped with a tool which uses TheTVDB naming database.

I got the following result in the debug log:

Code:
DEBUG: VideoInfoScanner: Skipping dir 'E:\Media\TV Shows\Star Trek - The Original Series (1966)\' due to no change

I played around a bit with the URL and it turns out that the series cannot be found with the added Year included (on the first try)
On the 2nd try though, Kodi (?) tries a different search pattern and excludes the Year, but if you look carefully it also excludes the hyphen between "Bel-Air", making it "Bel Air", and because of that missing hyphen, the search result also fails. If you paste the link and delete the space between "Bel Air" and put a hyphen inbetween, you will get a result.

My question is, does one normally include the YEar with TV series? I thought yes, same with Movies, but now I'm not sure, as adding the year on any search query nothing gets found. If that's the case I'll remove all years from my structuring. If one can leave the year, why does Kodi try the search without the hyphen?

I know this is probably a very rare and random "glitch" but thought it might be good to make someone aware of this as possibly there are other Series which may be affected?

Kind regards

Can this be added to the scraper? Like the anidb one does for anime.

Separate the Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese for TMDB scraper.

$

There is only one language option (zh) for Chinese users to select, however, the Simplified Chinese (zh-CN) and Traditional Chinese (zh-TW) are totally different, but the TMDB scraper always downloads the metadata in Simplified Chinese (zh-CN).

Please separate these two language, not just a "zh" option for them both.

Manually editing TV shows or Movies

Back in 16 we could just press "i" and enter manually the dsecription or flush the bad search result. Now on 17 seems like when we do "i" on a episode it only force a new scrappe from the internet. Is there something I'm missing here? Where is gone the manual editingConfused?

P.S. : I'm new here, dunno if I'm at the right place, and I don't usually speak english too >_<

Music, music videos text database possible to download ...

$

Hi ,
I am new user of Kodi with big set of music videos. I tried both 'mv' scrapers. The second is mad and the result of it's work is crazy and can not be used seriously , but gives big fun in the first hour of use it's results.
The first (TheAudioDb) if works (it has to be rare occasion) returns very very limited results.
I am not able to understand why using in the name the chars ' ` - & , or not using it, prevents receiving correct result. I read, the only way is to create own .nfo files with data based on the name of music files .
It is easy for me , because I keep my set in one place on my NAS and use only links to files , which I am able to create in every way in every nameing convention (created special subdirectory for Kodi with " - " separator).
My files are labeled not only with using artist and title names but additional if band or singer, if singer - female or male , the type of music (but very limited set), file quality, music quality , adult info ... but it is not enough or not all data are correct data (especial music type). I am sure I will find in the database better information (maybe except adult info).
I imagined the access to text version database about music (or music videos if exists). I will be able to find additional information from text records if I use artist and title from my music file (gawk,grep,...). If text database about music videos does not exist, it can be music database . The information about producter or film company is not very important.

Time for my question. Do you know about possible to download music text database ?

It has to use repeated internal structure , where fe. music type info will be at the same field possion in each record, possible to make a search for fields without parsing each record each time.
(I want to be precise, I do not need descriptions or links to pictures in the internet , only data : <title> , <artist> , <album>, <genre>, <year> all the rest will be a bonus )

Okay Im going to get a brain aneurysm with this frigging scraper not finding Music Video even with the NFO file produced. Plus a new issue suddenly with NFO not scraping artist name.
