since there are no sufficient data for Arabic content on neither imdb or tmdb , Elcinema.com scraper, Based on elcinema.com the biggest arabic movies database provide almost all meta data about Arabic content:

How get more debug info for "No information found for item..."

I have a problem where a show I have episodes for is getting:

But even in debug mode I can't seem to get more information about *why* it's happening. The TVDB entry for the show is:

and as you can see, it has no episodes. That's probably because it's a daily news show. But my scraper for those episodes creates their own .nfo files such as:

But clearly there is something that the metadata scraper doesn't like. So how do I get more detailed debug about what exactly it doesn't like?

What makes all of this very odd is that these .nfo files have worked for many months until now.

JustUseTheFileName alternetives or NFO batch creator?

Hi.

Pleas move the thread if it has a better category to be in.

I have over 1000 child-movies and episodes with Swedish title as filname or made up title as the filename, most of them wont scrap from any database online.

The JustUseTheFileName addon is no longer working so a alternative to that addon that uses the filename as Title.

Or if there is a script och batch program that can create a nfo file that uses the filename as title.

In the movie folder right now its only the movies and episode files (no folders or jpg or other files just mkv, avi, mp4 and so on), but i think the will need separate folders in the end if i want to use posters that i create with a bunch of thumbnails from each movie or episode.

I have seen softwares that create nfos for music videos "XBMC Music Videos" "XBMC Music Video NFO Standalone" but i cant use it to make movie nfos. It only uses this lines:

<artist></artist>
</musicvideo>

I guess i would need these lines:

I have googled for hours and i find nothing that works, most people dont understand the problem and just point to other online scrapers.

I want to do this so my kids can use KODI on a rp3 and see the thumbnails of all the movies and not just text as it is now on a external hard drive, and i think i can use KODI to downmix 5.1 to stereo so i have audio support for all movies.

Anyone know how to scrobble anime on kissanime or crunchyroll addon to Traktv??

hello,
If this is posted in wrong place im very sorry im at my wits end with this problem!
I have Traktv synced to my exodus and the anime that shows up in my progress list that scrobbles properly to traktv. But i watch alot of anime and not all of it shows up in my progress under my tv shows on exodus. So the stuff that doesnt show up i watch on kissanime or crunchyroll addon but that doesnt scrobble to my traktv account?? So i now have to go to the traktv desktop and mark it off that i watched it everytime i watch anime from either of of those 2 addons. Does anyone know of any solutionConfusedConfused TY very much

Hi there,

I've recently installed Kodi, but cannot seem to get the TMDB scraper to work. I get "unable to connect to remote server" every time it runs. In the logs, I find the following message:

As far as I understand the messages, the addon fails to find info for the movies, but queries TMDB anyway, without any search queries. Thus the API returns an error. Anyone knows what I have to do?

TVDB Scraping ineffective

Hello everybody, I'm a newbie on these forums - thanks for the hard work on what is looking like one of the best media players out there.

I'm using OSMC by the way - nice looking system.

Prior to using OSMC I used Kodi as a stand alone system I believe. It was using the confluence skin so you'll probably know what I'm talking about.
So, using the same hard drive I found that Kodi-confluence scraped the majority if not all my TV shows and anime using the TVDB.
Fast forward to now and I'm using OSMC. Using the same hard drive with the same folders and files, it seems to be yielding very few scrapes: about 7 shows of at least 30. Again using the TVDB. I also tried another scraper but I seem to be encountering the same problems.

The movie and music scraper are perfect fine. All success.

So I'm guessing this isn't much info right now, let me know what I can do about finding a log file for you or something! I've used both the confluence and osmc kodi in China by the way, using osmc now, but I don't think the firewall is affecting the scraper as it still obtains some show information.

My Movies Scraper Crashing Kodi

I have all my Movies backed up to my HD, but i hit a snag i just bought Underworld Awakening on 3D Blu Ray
I backed it up and MY Movies made the XML
But if i try and Scan it with the My Movies Scraper Kodi Crashes, its the second time this has happen in 14 Days.
Anyone else having this kind of problem, if i use the Kodi Movie Scraper forgot the name, the default one, no crashes works as it should.
Just kinda annoying having bought the 2500 points for My Movies years ago having tagged all Movies With My Movies, and not being able to use the scraper.
Forgot to mention only happen with Blu Rays

Kodi unable to connect to the server on my Raspberry

Hello all,

I already try to re install Kodi or reinstall the scrapper without success.
When i update my database with IMDB scrapper for TV Shows this works fine
When i try to update my database with The Movie Database for the film i have always the same message "unable to connect"

I joined the log in debug mode.

Please help me this problem appeared for 4 month and i tried a lot of things to solve this without success.

Additional information : I installed kodi on my MAC book and all it's ok the update works. I am connected by WIFI and my raspberry is connected by cable. I don't understand the difference

Kodi is scrapping "I.T. (2016)" as a completely different movie

Hi,

When I added the movie I.T. (2016) (see IMDb & TMDb link) to Kodi it shows up as the movies Daddy's Girl (2016) and Back in the Day (2016). I'm using the "The Movie Database" scrapper and this is the only movie with this problem.

I want to know if anyone is having the same issue with this movie or if its just me. I havent tried using other scrappers because I have 500+ movies that scrapped perfectly fine. also this isn't happening on just one computer. I have my movies on a NAS server and access them from multiple devices, and all devices scrapped the incorrect movie.

I've tried changing the title to just I T (2016), I.T._(2016), and I.T (2016) still nothing. Any help would be most appreciated =)

*some info: Windows 7, Kodi 16.0 & 16.1

Kodi 16.1 - TMDb does not find the movie but search URL is OK

Hi.

I'm part of French Kodi users forum Media-Passion.fr and one of our users face a stange bug.

He's trying to scrap "M et le 3ème secret" :

TV scraper not working

The movie scraper is working just fine, but the TV scraper will only work if I do it manually, one show at a time - which is seriously painful. There is no error message, nothing, just doesn't work. Same problem on Apple TV2 and on Android X96. Can anyone help?

Newbie question with TV shows in library

Hi all,

I understand that the only way of having a proper TV show library is having the following structure

-TV Shows source
-------TV Show 1
-----------Season 1
-----------------Season 1 files
-----------Season 2
-----------------Season 2 files
-------TV Show 2
-----------Season 1
-----------------Season 1 files
-----------Season 2
-----------------Season 2 files

Why is this necessary, if all the files have to be named TVSHOW.SXXEXX anyway? I mean, when a file is detected, can't the scrapper see the show, the season and the episode straightaway? I know it is a much cleaner solution in terms of folder or file structures, but if as I have automated the process of adding the video files to "TV Shows source" without actually making any difference between the different TV shows is a little bit of a pain to go and sort the episode every week.

I mean, couldn't this be done?

Run button not active

I downloaded the TV and movie add on. They both say enabled but the run button is the only button not active. I'm brand new to this and think I'm missing something. Can anyone help? I can't figure out how to access the data base.

TVDB Scraper Randomly Failing to Find Shows

Recently I've started having a consistent problem where the TVDB scraper seems to at random fail to find the proper show, despite multiple refreshes, deleting/re-adding sources etc. etc. I've tried to follow the naming conventions to a T, and regardless I don't think that's the problem. At first I had several shows that would scan perfectly, while others would display nothing and/or partial information for some random TV show. So I double-checked the names, added/re-added them, no effect. I then tried a complete re-install of Kodi (latest beta) and re-scanned the whole TV library. Now some of the shows that wouldn't scan before scanned perfectly, but others that had previously worked returned the wrong info. Then I thought it might be a problem with the Beta, so I reverted to the stable build (16.1) and scanned the whole library again and got yet another random mix of working/non-working TV shows. As far as I can tell there's no rhyme or reason to when/why shows will work, so I'm curious as to whether anyone else has encountered this.

ETA: OK, well, a potential work around at least. Don't know why it didn't occur to me in 17, but after deleting the wrong show from my library I went into Videos/Files/TV Library/TV Show X folder and chose "scan for new content" and it seemed to work. As a test, I deleted the whole folder, re-added it, same scanning problem. Deleted the wonky ones, scan for new content individually, and voila. So maybe the problem is just with scanning a batch of shows at once?

Is The TVDB down for anyone else. It's come and gone all day, but it's down right now, both program and webpage. Does anybody know anything about what's going on? Thanks for the help.

Edit: The TVDB is up and working now, at least. The second issue is still open, though.

Separately, but still metadata related, I have the X-Men: Days of Future Past: The Rogue Cut, Argo Extended Edition, and Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice in the extended versions, but Kodi is only recognizing them by their theatrical versions. If it helps, I have Kodi 17 in the Windows Store App version. Any ideas would be most welcome.

TVDB Unable to connect

Hi all,
First of all sorry for the noob question. I've just started running Kodi on a raspberry pi 3. The moviedb scans in all my movies no problem.On my first run of the tv scan it picked up 49 shows. Most of my tv shows though have not been picked up, I keep getting a message saying unable to connect to remote server. I saw in another thread that rather than scanning the entire folder(s) I could scrape individually? How do I do that? Will this issue persist or is it temporary?

Howto sync trakt community ratings?

Hi all,
I already tried a lot options but it's still not possible for me to sync the trakt community ratings for
my tv series.
I already tried the new TVDB scrapper: sync doesn't work - always empty entries
Emby with trakt plugin: doesnt sync trakt, just tvdb ratings
Plex with trakt plugin: here the same, just syncs the tvdb ratings.

Does anybody know a possibiliy how to sync the trakt ratings? It's the biggest community with a lot of votes. Tvdb is very poor regarding ratings.

Strategy for Extras (Commentary, Bloopers, etc)

Hello,

I am currently using makemkv to rip bluray disks. By default in names things like this (all in a directory The_Movie_Title):

The_Movie_Title_t00.mkv
The_Movie_Title_t01.mkv
The_Movie_Title_t02.mkv

One of these is the main movie and the others are extra tracks. I used mediainfo and do not see any meta data that can be used to determine which is the main movie. At this point I am prepared to rename the files based on viewing the content.

Right now the Movie listing after scraping shows 3 items for this movie. Only one is the actual movie.

How can this be improved through file renaming and Kodi configuration? Ideally I would like to see one item in the UI and then drill down into a screen that let's you know which one is main movie and which is the blooper reel, for example.

What are others doing to make movies easier to find the content?

On the bluray disk there is usually an "extras" option but I am OK with any improvement on default approach.
