Error msg

I receive this error upon startup of Kodi. " Please make sure the plugin folder is the same as the ADDON_ID."
I freely admit I'm a total noob and have no clue what to do. Any guidance would be much appreciated. I use Spinztv as my setup

First missing movie (Themoviedb)

Hi.

I have my first "unsuccesful" movie meta download, out of MANY movies.
ALL other movies have scraped perfectly. This one I have to do manual.

Not a problem at all.. I just really wonder, why it wont succeed.
I have tried Kodi (Themoviedb) and Emby (themoviedb)
In Kodi, the movie doesn't appear at all. In Emby, it finds the movie, and downloads the cover. But no other info.


The movie is :

The Invention Of Lying

I have named folder and file : The Invention Of Lying
And I have a .nfo file with imdb link, and now also themoviedb link.
Still nothing.

Just curious, what's so special about the movie.

some movies not displaying art

I have my scraper to scan on startup. I have movies in blu- ray folder ( movies title- bdmv-stream- title.m2ts and dvd folder structure but some as mp4. mkv etc. All are in a folder of the movie name.

The blu rays and dvds get the thumbnail art correctly but the mp4's do not. For the mp4's I can go to movie information- chose art - fan art- remote art and it works but the autoscraper does produce a thumbnail

Any help would be appreciated.

Scraper only looking for local info when API key is changed

Hi,

I'm trying to make the ConcertDB scraper work again now that its TMDB API key has expired. This is also the first time I'm dealing with the add-on backend so I'm feeling a bit out of my element.
I got a new key, however, when I plug it into this piece of code in the scraper:

the logs show that it's only looking for info locally and doesn't even attempt to look remotely online.
Previously, when the API key was invalid I was getting an "Unable to connect to remote server" error, but now, there's no error in Kodi, just a logging statement saying "WARNING: No information found for item" in the local directory.

I know that this key works because when I enter the URL into my browser, I'm getting a valid JSON back.

Any idea what's happening here?

kodi ignores tvshow.nfo

Hi!

I have some shows i need to help the scrapper a little bit.
the nfo files worked in the past, but now they are ignored completely, dont know for how long.

when i force kodi to rescan the show, it does not mention the nfo file and asks me how to preceed, too (this worked before too)

im running 16.1 on kubuntu

edit: the nfos only contain the tvdb url

I signed up for Rotten Tomatoes API access years ago. I received a message from them that said they are ending the free API, but you can submit a business proposal for a paid alternative. Netflix and Redbox did the same thing years ago, so it is not surprising. This will put an end to most uses of the Rotten Tomatoes API in open source / free software.

.nfo scraper ignoring season / episode number

Hi,

Haven't had much of a response, so thought I'd boil down into the fundamental issue that I'm having and post here.

I have the following TV Show folder structure that I'm hoping to scrape with a corresponding .nfo file for each episode.

Example:

Danger Mouse/Danger Mouse_20151006_0725.ts

.nfo file contents:

My problem is that Kodi is completely ignoring the season / episode data contained in the .nfo, and is assigning season / episode by the filename. Is this normal behaviour? For the above example, I'm getting:

Season 7 > Episode 25 (with correct episode title tag)
Season 201510 > Episode 06 (with correct episode title tag)

I've attempted some work with "cleanstrings" with a regex but with no success.

Any help would be most appreciated!

[Solved] TheTVDB.com - problems with scraping TV Show

Hi,

I'm having problems with scraping the TV series "V" (the SciFi series from back in 1983). This show has aired in a "Mini TV series" format and then a year later as one full season. The two part Mini-Series is listed on TheTVDB.com under "Special":

If I click the details for one these episodes, I picked the episode hierarchy ...

However, after scraping / updating my library, the regular season episodes are listed in Kodi, whereas the Mini-Series (from the "Specials" subfolder) is unfortunately :-/not:

RE: How to make IMDB the scraper for TV Show Library

Has anyone found a way to make IMDB the default scraper for TV shows in the KODI video library? TVDB is awful and has yet to tag a single one of my 300+ tv shows / cartoons properly. Wrong season, wrong episode names, wrong order of episodes etc. Trying to go through TVDB is impossible and they offer no help (or recognize they even have a problem with people adding wrong information to their databases).

There must be an easy way, as the movies use IMDB just fine and all work great. Anyone figure this out? There are several previously created threads on this and no one has yet solved any of them.

Scraping mood for music

Hi all,

I searched and didn't find the answer.
I read here that the Universal Scraper for Music Albums uses allmusic.com and also scrapes Mood tag.
I used it but I don't see Mood in the music library options.
I also tried a suggestion I stumbled upon of using the smart playlist, but it couldn't browse for known moods.

So in the link above also says:

What does that mean exactly? how do I add the link?
BTW, I don't have MusicBrainz installed on my PC.

I use Kodi V15.2 Isengard.

TVDB Scrapper only Showing Season 1

Hi,

since i upgraded to Kodi 16 (from Kodi 15.2) the TVDB Scrapper is only Showing Season 1 for some TV Shows (mostly Comic/Anime Shows). Can't figure out why this is.

What happened to interactive artist scraping?

Why can't I interact with music scrapers? Its pulling the wrong data from online sources for "Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra" as Album Artist. What's more when it scans the nfo In the folder it doesn't bother actually reading the artist name instead it still uses "Amanda Palmer" and "The Grand Theft Orchestra" as two different entities, I have used MediaElch to scrape the proper info from MusicBrainz and other sources (so i know the sources have the artist as a group) even fanart.tv has Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra as a "group" so does AllMusic, etc...etc...etc. However it always does exactley the same.

Why is it I can't select an artist when scraping music?
There are a lot of holes and misinformation (wrong artists- luckily most of that incorrect artist info is hidden whet it?n using the option to remove compilation artists because I rarely have problems with Album Artist info) in my library because there is no option to select an artist, which there very well should be when updating or scraping an individual artist or group.

Now before someone goes and blames my metadata let me stop them right now, my metadata is meticulously managed using Musicbrainz Picard as my base tagging app, plus a rigorous inspection process. and most certainly before posting here I have checked that my metadata is correct (deleting all metadata and re-tagging re-inspecting). I don't know where the process goes wrong, and with all due respect don't much care. I simply want to know why i don't have the option to correct it?

There used to be a web-plugin that i could go in and manually edit this info but no longer.

However i have corrected it (sorta) by using a Sqlite Database Editor. It should however be easier.... I'm almost certain you used to have the option to select the artists... I could be wrong.
