Scraper not bringing movie information

Hi

The scrapper is not finding the movie information but does show the artist and art from the movie.  Previously it worked fine but after the last adding of movies to my libraries it does not return the movie information. I have even changed to the Universal movie scraper and it is still not getting the movie information.  I have once of the examples is 14 cameras.  In het below links you can see that the IMDB and MovieDB have the information.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7476438/?re...f_=nv_sr_1

The log is below.

TMDB (The Movie Database) scraper doesn't get info about Game of thrones

Hi,
After lot of problems with the TVDB scraper, I started to use TMDB instead.
Generally, it works much better - but I have one big issue:

It can't get any info regarding "Game of Thrones". I've asked the guys at TMDB but they referred to this forum.
My files are perfect named "Games of Thrones - s01e01 - And so on..." and sorted under folder like "s01".
It has worked before with TVDB. And I have over 100 other shows that TMDB scrapes orrectly.

I running Kodi 18.3 on Linux Mint 19.2 - the scraper is set to "Swedish", but I also tried with "English" without any success.
I also running mysql database, but it's stored on same machine.

Does anyone have the same problem?
Any solution?

best regards
Bo

Solved - Non information provider movie library?

Hello!

I am using Kodi and while I have no problem importing movies using information providers such as The Movie Database to my library, I can't figure out how to import movies manually.

Let's say I have a home video or a fan made movie. Is there a way to import it into my library with all the other regular movies?

I still get crashes when scanning tv shows (edit: it's only Curb Your Enthusiasm that makes it crash strangely)
Debug log: apocijuyay.kodi (paste)
Another Debug: ugadokuher.kodi (paste)

Also please help me know how to fix this:

These repeat for every movie and just spam my debug. I have set the settings for universal addon and rescanned my library, why does this popup?

Ever since the TVDB issues from a few weeks back I've noticed my scraping take a few hours instead of a few minutes.

At first i assumed it was all the people switching their scraper to movieDB and redoing their entire libraries, but two weeks later and it still crawling.

is anyone seeing the same issue?

Thanks,

Solved - Actor thumbnails are not downloaded during scrapping

Hi, I manually download the various artworks (poster/fanart, etc., but no actor thumbnails as I don't want to keep duplicate actor thumbnails) for movie "2001: A Space Odyssey" (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062622/) and created a NFO file for it. The NFO file e has the following content:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<movie>
    <title>2001: A Space Odyssey</title>
    <originaltitle>2001: A Space Odyssey</originaltitle>
    <rating>8</rating>
    <votes>5367</votes>
    <top250>0</top250>
    <year>1968</year>
    <tagline>The ultimate trip</tagline>
    <runtime>149</runtime>
    <mpaa>U</mpaa>
    <playcount>0</playcount>
    <id>tt0062622</id>
    <tmdbid>62</tmdbid>
    <set>
        <name>The Space Odyssey Series</name>
        <overview/>
    </set>
    <sorttitle></sorttitle>
    <trailer>plugin://plugin.video.youtube/play/?video_id=QQpJgzBndlw</trailer>
    <watched>false</watched>
    <credits>Stanley Kubrick</credits>
    <credits>Arthur C. Clarke</credits>
    <director>Stanley Kubrick</director>
    <studio>Stanley Kubrick Productions</studio>
    <studio>Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer</studio>
    <genre>Science Fiction</genre>
    <genre>Mystery</genre>
    <genre>Adventure</genre>
    <country>United Kingdom</country>
    <country>United States of America</country>
</movie>

All artworks worked fine except the actor thumbnails. I tried both TMDB scrapper and UMS scrapper, but none of them would scrap actors information (and the actor thumbnails) for the movie. If I added the actors element to the NFO file, like the following, the actor name appears, but no thumbnails for it.

    <actor>
        <name>Keir Dullea</name>
        <role>Dr. David Bowman</role>
    </actor>

I thought Kodi will use information in the NFO file, and for any information not exist in the NFO file, it will download from internet, but seems this is not the case. How can I ask Kodi to scrap the actor information?

BTW, I had "Download Actor Thumbnails" option enabled in Kodi settings. From the progress bar at the top right corner during the scrapper, it seems Kodi never queried internet to get information for the movie. The whole scrapping process was too fast.

scanning to library

I have a problem that has me stumped. I have done some research but cannot find an answer. I have been going through folders on my hard drive and changing to make them Kodi compatible. Most the times this works. But sometimes when I select "scan to library" instead of confirming the information the keyboard appears. The name that I have selected is exactly what is listed in IMDB. Actually I have copied and pasted. I am not sure what I am suppose to do when confronted with the keyboard.
Thanks,

Trailer : choose language (audio and subtitles)

Hi,

I often use "infos" : "Trailer" to watch trailer from movie in my library.

The problem is that i can't choose which trailer is played; i would like "fr" or "vostfr" when available. I wish to click on a "trailer" button and have a choice of diffferent trailers : VO, VOSTRF, VF.

If i'm right it is dependant of scraper used and its setting ?

I tried with these addons :
TMDB : seems to search trailer on YouTube; i specified "fr" language
Universal Movie scraper : seems to search trailer on TMDB; i spedified "fr" language

Whatever the scraper above i use, i sometimes have only english audio without subtitle (Harry Potter 1 for my actual test).

I tried "extended info script" and for somes movies it is good : i have a list of video trailers to choose from; but for some movies i don't have videos trailers listed...

Is there any other setting i can make ? Is there another addon specific for trailers with more options ?

Thanks

Hi all,

I have an issue with scraping movies into the library. It is the first time using this functionality in Kodi. With the tv shows it is working perfectly. I followed the folder and naming conventions as described. Followed the scraping problems step by step guide but nothing is happening. I have only tried with 2 movies.

Hope somebody can help me out.

Solved - NFO File not Working

I am running Kodi 17.6, LibreElec 8.2.5 on a Raspberry Pi . I have a video file that is really a complete video of a TV mini series (the Last Don(1997)) that I can't get into my library. I created a nfo file containing only the link to the show at IMDB and saved it as "The Last Don(1997).nfo" and saved it to my Movies source. It now sits immediately after the video file itself. I then installed the Universal Movie Scraper and configured it to use IMDB.

I tried to import the file into the library but Kodi seems to ignore the nfo file and just offers irrelevant movies as options. FWIW, I can see no reference to the nfo file in the Kodi log.

From reading the Wiki it sounded like I was doing all that is necessary to import the IMDB information for this file.

Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong will be greaty appreciated.

v18 - Python Scraper - how to access files path

$

I know its something new and only, demo is fine and everything, but I cannot access files path from inside scraper.
In demo script the path is hardcode inside the scraper but in real-life scraper that should not be the case.

sys.argv
has only `title` and `year` in some cases, `action` and `handle`.

Even when I parse and get information about files that I'm adding to library I don't have the real path to file - which make it unusable right now.

File locations?

Ok 99% of the time i can find the answer from google or looking but i cant find the answer i need for the latest kodi release, only older versions which no longer apply

I cant find the path information when the movie its scraped is wrong. I have no idea what it should be as it wont show me the filename and path on my hard drive
How do you show the actual filename and location of the movies its scraped?

Im on the latest Kodi

Its so irritating i even have to ask such a basic question and very irritating its not just there with a right click

thanks

Any NFO gurus here ?

I use WMC-7 to record TV shows for years. So today I ran the KODI tool Missing Movies and after a scan of missing episodes showed 100's missing.
A lot where empty NFO files so I have to rescan them with Ember Media Manager to fetch the NFO.

But I have a lot that have NFO's that have info here is a sample

Can anyone see what is missing ? This nfo does not show up in KODI

Solved - A real strange scraper issue

Kodi 17.6 - database is stored in MySql.

I'm using the Universal Movie Scraper...it is fully up to date.

I never have issues scraping movies or TV shows.  Eveything is always named correctly beforehand

I already have a BluRay of The Force Awakens in my library...it is titled -  Star Wars - The Force Awakens (2015).bluray

It scanned into my library fine and shows up in my library as I woud expect it to.

I have recently obtained a fan edit of the same movie...The file name is as below

Star Wars - The Force Awakens Restructured (2015).mkv

When I do a usual library scan it isnt picked up.   If I go into the files seciton I can see the file...I seach for info and it finds the movie.  I then select it and it returns with LOADING MOVIE DETAILS and then NO INFORMATION FOUND!

I have tried using the Missing Movies add on but I get the same results.

I have tried renaming the file and and get the same results.

I have tried creating an NFO file with the correct movie info in it and get a result when it just goes straight to the NO INFORMATION FOUND! result.

I have even renamed the file to exactly the same same as the one that is currently in my library but in a different folder, with the same result

If I pick a totally different title (returned from the search)...any of the other options works fine and adds the movie to the library as that item.

I have tried using ther IMDB scraper and get the same result.

It is as if all of the scrfapers no longer know the film exists.

every single other items scrapes without issue...everything else in the system is working fine.

This is happening on three separately installed instances of Kodi 17.6 on three different Windows PCs.

I have tried rebooting all machines, I have tried rebooting the server where the media is stored and the MySQL database resides

Everything else works fine....

I dont want to remove the existing bluray version from the librayin case I cant put it back

What is going on?

v17 - Scraper / Library trouble

Hi everyone,

For some reason I can’t add certain movies to my library, for example the movie:Hallo allemaal,

Cliniclowns Presenteert Circus Cliniclowns

In the main folder I have created a folder with the name Cliniclowns Presenteert Circus Cliniclowns in which is the file: Cliniclowns Presenteert Circus Cliniclowns.MKV

I have done this for other movies as well and usually it finds the titel as long as its an exact match with the title on TMDB. Which is as well in this case:

https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/601153-...liniclowns

However when I want to add this file to my library, I get the message to rename the file.

Anyone has an idea how I can add this title (and others) to my library including the correct fanart on TMDB?

Thanks a lot!

We will need to look at the Debug Log to see why Kodi is skipping them

  1. Go to Settings>System Settings>Logging then enable Debugging mode. Should be the first option
  2. Restart Kodi
  3. Replicate the problem. Run an Update Library.
  4. Upload the results to https://pastebin.com/ or https://paste.ubuntu.com/ and post the link back here.

I have recently noticed this issue happening as well. It seems to happen with everything *new* that I add to library. Usually, I'll manually scan to library only the new items. It has failed every time, except a couple days ago, and I cannot recall what I did to make it successfully scan those items.

I have tried updating my scraper add ons, and that fails constantly, no matter what it is, including all dependencies. (I I should also note here, that I cannot delete the Addons27.db file in an attempt to clean up the database for my add ons)

Here is my log result. Please advise? Thank you in advance!

Really love Kodi but recently I have run into a problem.
I am running the latest official version of Kodi and I have scraped all my tv shows. The problem is that for 1 scraped program it shows the metadata but says there ore no seasons or episodes. Yet the actual video files are in my source and can be watched from there, they just dont show up in my tv menu.

Any and all help appreciated

I am having an issue scraping the episodes information for only one particular series.

I downloaded 5 episodes of this series, and the first one was found with out any issue, but after that i am getting the below (sorry i dont know how to format it properly)
01:38:07.696 T:140067885106944 WARNING: No information found for item 'nfs://192.168.1.96/volume1/media/TV Shows/Chernobyl/', it won't be added to the library.

The first episode was able to be scraped without any issues, and i'm not sure if it is due to the fact that the first episode has colons in the name, title is "1:23:45" which was changed to "1-23-45" by the renamer. Not sure if there's anyway that could break the following episodes or not, but i haven't had any other problems except for this.

Cannot scrape D-Day: Over Normandy Narrated by Bill Belichick

Not sure how to format one specific filename to get it to scrape correctly via themoviedb.

Filename is currently D-Day Over Normandy 1080p WEB-DL DDP2.0 H.264.mkv (although I've tried several variations, including adding "by Bill Belichick" before the 1080p, and adding the year 2017 in parentheses).

The moviedb page for the title is https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/610764-...-belichick.

How do I get Kodi to scrape the correct info for this file - can I perhaps force it somehow by including the unique reference '610764' in the filename? (Kodi 18.2, using standard 'The Movie Database' scraper with default settings - everything else scrapes fine).

Thanks,

Andre
