Posters keep disappearing

Hi,

Today I found that my movies didn't scrape anymore (no posters). I've registered/logged in to the movie db and that helped, movies (posters) work again.

However, I've refreshed a series and of that series the poster disappeared (using the scraper with the tvdb). I tested a refresh with another series and that one also lost its poster. Episode information and thumbnails are downloaded/displayed correctly.

This topic mentions cleaning the whole library, but I'm a bit afraid of doing so, as I feel like I will lose all posters to the series I've got in my library.

Can the whole "posters not loading but information/thumbnails do" be caused by the API update?

Series art - not there, no background.

So, after some time playing around in the Plex garden, I've come back to Kodi. I've installed without any serious issues, but I've hit a surprisingly irritating snag. 

I'm running on an Nvidia Shield TV 2017, and my files are shared from an NFS store off an UnRAID server. 

Anyway, I'm mostly working just fine. However, I have some series that won't show images for the series, whether we're talking on the TV or in a web browser. 

For example:

But it's not a scraping error, because Agent Carter is the correct show. Kodi is pulling all the metadata about it. 

It's even pulling season art:

I'd say this is happening with about 20% of my shows, and I don't get it. 

If I try to manually fix one (which is never the ideal option...) I get this:

...and that "Searching for more images" swirly will spin forever, as near as I can tell. 

As part of trying to work this out along with a freezing error I've been having I've gone ahead and wiped Kodi. There are zero add-ons running right now. I don't even have a movies folder setup, just this TV Shows. 

Can anyone make a suggestion here?

Win10 - Leia and information scraper

Hi all,
likely this is the seocnd time in 10 years i cannot find a solution searching in this forum and so here i am.. 

i upgraded to latest alpha Leia, as i wanted to see how it goes , but as i upgraded my scraper stop working:
they scrap, but they never find anything.. 
i'm using kodi with mySql Db as i access to the main from tablet and smartTV 

i read some post regarding scraper is not working.. but if i roll back to 17.6 version everyhting fine..

any suggestion on what can be?

i was thinking to test a scratch installation.. but before doing that..

Correcting incorrect titles after scrape

Hi team. Unsure if this is the correct sub-forum to ask this question, but I'll start here.

I have a number of instances in my library where the title selected and stored for a TV show or a movie (as determined from a look-up of the file name) isn't correct. How do I correct the title stored and then displayed for each incorrect entry? I'd hoped there would be the option to change properties, including the title, in the side bar - but no.

Appreciate any advice.

TMDB for mTV working?

I installed the TMDB for TV scraper version 2.05 but can't get it to produce any results. I'm trying to scrape "20000 leagues under the sea (1997) s01e01". the underlaying system is Windows 10 and KODI 17.6.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have had a problem for a few weeks where new TV shows would not get their details scraped etc etc.
I finally got round to checking what was going on .. it turns out that in the https api call to api.thetvdb.com I dont see the API key after Authorization=Bearer%20.

I know the versions are old, but they have been working flawlessly for ages now .. maybe it is time to update! But is there anything I can do to fix my current system?

Bug - NFO-Files not working for TV-Shows.

Like so many others here, I also have problems adding new shows to my library. All the problems started when thetvdb changed their api. Previously I only used an nfo-file with the complete web-link

This has worked fine for years. But since the change to new link format;

Kodi is unable to scrape new shows using this format. I know that thetvdb is not down because when I hit refresh and choose "Local info found. Ignore and refresh from internet", Kodi finds the correct show or a list of matches and downloads all the information. This is getting annoying as I also have a folder for all of my tv-show that are on cd/dvd and here I'm dependent on using a nfo-file since I'm adding my own genres and tags to the shows.

Missing episodes

Anyone have a situation where some episodes don't show up in the list but when you go to file manager it is there?

This is happening to random episodes on random TV shows. I can watch them from file manager so I know they are on the box

Kodi not recognizing new TV Series/Seasons/Episodes automatically

Hello,

im coming from the latest Version of Kodi on an Raspberry Pi. I already hat the Problem there, that only if i click Information new episodes get recognized. Even whole seasons wont get recognized unless i do that.
Now im using FireTV Stick and still have the same problem. Deleting Cache etc wont work. Only thing working per Show (Not sure if its working if i add a new episode now) is download new information from internet.

Anyone got a quick tipp for me? Tried a few Solutions found on the forum already. no luck.

I have not one but TWO TvDB addons. One is updated and everything, the other is an old version. And I can remove it Sad
How could I try and solve it ?

Scrapers showing wrong studio for anime

In the information section of the tv shows it shows the staff and the studio among other things but the studio always seems to be whatever company aired the show and not the one that produced it, for example, Clockwork Planet is shown as Tokyo Broadcasting System but the studio is actually Xebec.

On that note also is it possible to show more information about the staff, such as the director, people in charge of music and character design?

VIDEO_TS and The TVDB

I'm struggling with getting The TVDB to scrape ripped DVDs with multiple series in a single VIDEO_TS

As an example, I have the ripped the four Blackadder DVDs to VIDEO_TS folders, and have tried the following layouts

Blackadder\Season 1\The Black Adder\VIDEO_TS
Blackadder\Season 1\VIDEO_TS
Blackadder\The Black Adder\VIDEO_TS
The Black Adder\VIDEO_TS

However none of these appear to work.

The examples on https://kodi.wiki/view/Naming_video_files/TV_shows shows DVD and BD layouts for when there is a single episode per ripped disk, but do not appear to have an example for when there are multiple episodes on a single ripped disk.

Do I need to re-rip each disk and extract each episode ? or is there a way to keep the original VIDEO_TS format ?

Director showing up in cast list

I'm noticing a minor issue when scraping television shows from TVDB.  Sometime recently, the director of an episode started getting listed in the cast.  See this screenshot for an example.  It's episode S01E01 of Fargo, where Adam Bernstein is listed (correctly) as the Director, but also as (incorrectly) a member of the cast.  As you can see from the TVDB entry he is not a "guest star" for this episode (and he's not listed as a member of the cast for the TV series either).

I have the most updated TVDB scraper from the repository (3.0.5) and all my other Add-ons are up to date.

This is only occurring for episodes I've added recently, but it's happening consistently.  Obviously not a big deal, but just wondering what's happening and if I can "fix" it.

Thumbnails (posters, banners etc) are suddenly missing and not scraping

Hi, long time Kodi user, started on Windows, went to Ubuntu now on Arch. Kodi has always been there for me Smile

I have a problem I've never encountered before. Recently I've been re-encoding some old AVI videos into MP4 to save some disk space. I got my Simpsons folder down from over 56GB to 28GB which is pretty awesome using "ffmpeg".

Now these files have worked for years, have been re-scraped many times and are named correctly. All that has changed is the file extension.

I refreshed the folder (chosing to remove the old as I have done in the past) and re-pulled the info down and I no longer get posters, banners etc for the show. I still get episode thumbnails but it just shows the generic folder icon for the series and each season.

I checked the event log and see no errors about this, I just see the same errors that's always been there (which I don't care about and is unrelated).

How do I debug and fix this?

XBOX - Kodi not scanning TV Show Artwork

So I managed to download Kodi v18 to Xbox One and an using the mimic skin with green textures and I love it! Finally managed to get my MyCloud working with NFS.

Everything seems to be working so far and will need to do a lot of customisation, but the artwork for the TV Show folders and poster have not scanned in? The information has, but not the artwork. Movies are ok.

I did check the artwork downloader add on and it says it’s broken, but I don’t know how to fix that.

Does anyone know what the problem may be and how to fix it?

v18 - Suddenly posters, fanarts of TV Series are not scraping anymore

Hi. I am using Kodi v18 Alpha on my Qnap NAS. Since yesterday, when I am adding a new TV Series there are no posters or images, everything else (description) is scraped fine.
I tried to move the latest series on a different folder, then clean library, then I uninstalled the Kodi and installed a new alpha version of Kodi, I imported the library and fixed all the settings (language, region, etc.).
Then I tried to add one serie from the previous folder and launched a full library scan... same problem: the description, actors, episodes is fine, although there is no poster (the seriethat I moved back for example  is called "Wakfu" but I have other 12 Series with the same problem, now they are moved to a different folder now to isolate the problem.
I tried also to "refresh" the serie and select a different language but there are no changes.
Here is my Debugging Log, I hope it's OK because it's my firs time on logging upload.
