[Music] Use album art for Artist if unable to scrape or soundcloud scraper

A lot of the music i have is Electronic Music and so many DJs or artists are not that well known and so do not have information on themusicdb etc.

However, all of these songs do have proper cover art on the file

For those artists, can i somehow tell Kodi to use the album cover art thats on the file instead of displaying blank fanart or artist picture.

If not, is there like a SoundCloud scraper?

Hi,

I use TheTVDB to scrap my TV shows but the following are not crapped :
- Baron noir
- Le bureau des légendes

Of courses, files a named as usual.

According to TheTVDB, the problem should come from Kodi, which surprises me ...

Any idea ?

Their mods are arbitrarily deleting a series and it's left me with a ridiculous "series not allowed" entry in Kodi. What is the best TVDB alternative for series? It's not the open database I thought it was. Thank you!

TV Scraper Issues

I'm using Kodi v15.2 and in the past TVDB has always worked for me. But since I've upgraded from XMBC v12 to Kodi, I've noticed I have to switch between TVDB and XEM every couple of days to accurately scrape my shows. For example, last night 'Jane the Virgin' and 'Gotham' were added correctly, but 'Bette Call Saul' was skipped. I can see the show when I browse to 'Files' but when I select 'Episode Information' nothing happens.

So, I switch the scraper for all TV to XEM and it scans everything correctly. But then, in a few days XEM will have the same issue and I'll have to switch back to TVDB to get the correct scraping. I know it isn't the TV naming convention because those are definitely good and eventually they shows are scraped and added, but switch back and forth is crazy.

Any ideas on what is causing this behavior? Let me know if anyone has seen this or if I can provide more detail

Trying to process a show, and coming up with no matches on the latest episode.

TV Shows: Scrap Issue (W/ Screenshots)

I posted a thread earlier, but I think I didn't explain myself very well, so I have this time used screen shots to assist anyone who is able to help.

PROBLEM: TV shows titles are visible, but not the content e.g Seasons and Episodes. As you can see below with "American Pickers".

After not being to scrap, I did some research and use FileBot to rename all the files. I have Kodi scanning my content the file directly before the actual TV show. Example:

Can anyone see where I am going wrong? Out of 1000's TV episodes I have, only around 400 are actual visible.

TMdb problem

I use TMdb scraper for my TV Shows, easier to check info from the website. I installed Kodi on a Fire Stick, and was scanning my videos and one miniseries "The Bible" is coming up as "Riddles of the Bible", different show. I use Kodi on my computer and it had previously scraped the correct information, but now no longer is. I cleared my TV Show library on my windows 10 computer to see if it was just the Android version but it isn't, just scraping the wrong information now. Any idea why?

problem with movie scraper on folder with more than one file

the movie scraper works fine, that's not the issue, the issue is I have multiple files in the folder because 1) with a single file I can't choose which cartoon to put on 2) I get a stupid commentator between cartoons.

how do I configure Kodie to let me apply meta data to a folder ie multiple items in a folder but keep the names I've given to the "episodes" as well as the main title under which they all fall?

eg cartoon1 = main title, cover art and main title meta data + cartoon1 name
cartoon2 = main title, cover art and main title meta data + cartoon2 name

When they will update default TMDB scrapper to support PT-BR language? The lang already is implemented in tmbdb website, PT-BR for Portuguese Brazilian stuff and PT for Portugal and other countries.

Is there an anime scraper/source with English dub voice actors?

I have been using Ember Media Manager & TVDB for scrapping all my movies, shows and been working out for years.
One thing that has always bothered me is the voice actors for my Anime collection.

We only buy/watch dubbed anime and would prefer seeing which actors belong to which show without having to constantly google them.
I know hikaricore over at TVDB is very strict on what he wants for shows so didn't bother requesting over there.

Does anyone have a method for English dub voice actors for anime? Please let me know, thank you!
I wouldn't mind contributing my spare time to a project if needed.

myanimelist.net does carry info for all languages, not sure if there is a way to get info from them with an API.


Tried searching in subforum but didn't get far so sorry if it's been discussed, also my signature is old I know.

TMDB not scrapping properly

So I rebuilt my HTPC and started everything with a fresh install and started all scrapping from scratch and it appears that TMDB addon isn't scrapping properly and is getting the wrong info for random movies. I have multiple computers with Kodi installs, if I go to one that has the correct info and do a refresh on the movie it then comes up with the wrong info just like my HTPC. So far these are the movies I have noticed to be affected A Man Apart, A thousand words, Three Amigos.

Proposed Enhancement to TMDB Scraper

Hi All,

I have a suggestion for an enhancement to the current scrapers that Kodi has, and I thought I'd post here to see what other people thought.

For the first example, I was going to use TMDB scrapper.

There is occasionally a need for addons to find out things like the ID of a movie on a particular site, the addon can't just read the ID used within Kodi as it will not know which scraper was used to create that Id. So I thought, could a module be added to existing scrapers that did a simple select when given the "name" and "year" of a movie.

I have had a mess about with "metadata.common.themoviedb.org" and added such a module:

So to call it you would just put the dependency in your addon.xml as usual, then do something like:

details = tmdb.get_by_name(title, year)

This actually returns a json response for you to do whatever you like with, but it's a start.

What do people think? In theory this could be done for many of the scrapers.

TMDB scraping EN poster regardless of language setting

Hey

Starting yesterday I've started getting en posters no matter what. The scraper settings are set to he but I'm still getting en posters/ (All other details are coming in Hebrew as they should)

I've also tried re installing Kodi Jarvis (even though the issue started today on 2 different kodi machines) and selecting a different language for the scarper (it, ru, he) posters are still in en.

I need to apply a movie scraper to a series (folder with multiple files)

Running Kodi on Raspery Pi2 and am not afraid of the linux CLI. Would appreciate any suggestions.

Hello,

I have an issue for 2 weeks. When i want to get all data for my films this message appear at the end of the configuration :Can not connect to the server - you want to continue scanning ?
This works fine for my TV Shows with TVDB scraper.

I tried to reinstall OSMC with KODI but i have the same problem. I tried to update the scrapper by download on website and install from zip, but doesn't resolve the problem.

I sort literature, video games, and music, this way. I wish to keep doing it with movies too for the sake of consistency. I know you can sort inside of Kodi by year, but I still wish the folder structure follows my code. Right now it's not working. It barely picks up a couple of films out of dozens. I'm using TMDB.

This question was asked a year ago here, and it's suggested there (on the last post) that once a change is made, it should be possible. Was the change ever made? Is there no addon than can be fed the information and just twist it around? (Year - Name > Name - Year, which I believe does work with some changes). It just seems like such a simple task to be do...

Lord of the Rings Trilogy Extended Editions

LotR trilogy extended edition is two DVDs per movie.

For each movie I can apply the same movie meta data but then can't see which is part1 and which is part2 anymore.

How to I apply the same movie data but then change the name to reflect that they are part1 and part2?

Sorry if this is an obvious question, I don't get as much time as I'd like to squirrel around on Kodi

The words part1 and part2 are in the file name, ideally Kodi would let me just include the file name along with all the rest of the meta data?
