TV Shows : Planet Earth (2006) cannot be imported into library.

I use: http://www.themoviedb.org as my TV Shows source (I think it is better than the TVdb)

On http://www.themoviedb.org there are 2 TV Shows:

Planet Earth (2006) (11 episodes)
https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/1044-plane...uage=en-US

Planet Earth: The Future (2006)  (3 episodes)
https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/20618-plan...uage=en-US

I want to import Planet Earth (2006).  BUT no matter what I change the file name/folder name, I always get  Planet Earth: The Future (2006)  (3 episodes)

What should I do? What's the right way to name it?

Here is an example I using: (NOT working)
Planet Earth/Season1/From.Pole.to.Pole.2006.S01E01.mkv

Need further instructions on what to do next re: scraping BSG miniseries 1

Per: Incorrect_and_missing_videos#Video_title_wont_scrape (wiki)

I've tried several variations on the pilot episode of the Battlestar Galactica Miniseries.

Per: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=95822
And: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=167038

I've been trying combinations of names listed within these threads including the year 2003 and with parentheses (2003), with periods '.' and with spaces ' ', placing the year at the end of the name and in the middles of the name.

I have also tried placing the video file in the root of the show's folder as well as in a 'Season 0' folder. All still without luck.

This is the TVDB site of the correct episode: https://www.thetvdb.com/series/battlesta...des/117847

When trying to directly add the content through the video source browser, I get an error similar to: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=309937

I'm not sure what to make of that error. I don't understand the advice
Quote:it was a source setting problem in Kodi, Kodi was searching for a TV Series called "TV Series".
well enough to fix the problem if it is a problem.

Here is my log: https://paste.kodi.tv/ipesolanek

I replicated trying to update the library in TV shows and directly adding the episode from the video->source and getting the error I mentioned. Because of the error and permutations on naming I've attempted, I'm not sure what to do next. Thanks in advance for any help.

Request - Manual Entry of Video Data

My late great-uncle traveled extensively after his retirement in the 1970s and shot about 25,000 feet of Super 8 movie film, which I have inherited. He also took detailed notes on what he filmed, which includes material such as Afghanistan before the Soviet invasion.

I am in the process of digitizing these movies and I want to be able to organize them and categorize them into a usable collection, preferably with the ability to generate thumbnail images from the content and to search on keywords including filming date and location. It seems that Kodi would be suitable for this, if there is a way to enter and edit information from his notes and then to search on the library afterwards. However, if there is a way to enter video information manually without a scraper I haven't yet found it. Can someone suggest how I might proceed with this project?

Remove specific scraper ???

Hello all,

I'm sorry to ask you but I really spent time about that without any solution.

My problem : how remove a specific scraper I've previously chosen for a path ?

I did that on a folder, but now, I want to remove this "specific" one and have the same scraper for this folder as the others in the media source it belongs to.

For information, I'm pretty sure that kinks between path and scraper are stored in database as my library is stored on a mariadb server and the folder has it "special" mark on all my media players.

I've tried to remove and clean path table but no way, even if I thought I had found it.

Thank you for your help !

TV Show NFO file not scraping

$

Hi,

I use a media manager to organise my movies and TV Shows. It creates NFO files and I use Kodi's local scraper to extract the metadata. I have a TV show.nfo file and individual episode NFO files.

It works fine for movies however when I add my TV Show library it only adds the series information but no Season or episode info. If I select a TV Show it shows Seasons = 0 and Episodes = 0 even though the files are there and are named in accordance with the Kodi recommended method e.g 'Show Title s01e01'

After some research on the forums I decided to delete the 'Episodes list' section in the 'TV show.nfo' file and once saved and re-scraped all the seasons and episodes scrape fine! This is the line where NFO file directs to a URL using TVDB website. Is there anything that can be done to prevent editing the NFO files?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Win - Kodi 17.6 with MQ7 , question re set appearances in playlists

Hi all

Eagerly awaiting the full release of Leia and also the upcoming MQ8 skin for it...whilst I could upgrade now to the RC, I want to be sure everything is fully ready and I don’t want to lose access to any of the great looking skin options I currently have with MQ7.

As a long term XBMP/XBMC/KODI user, I have over the years managed to tweak my system to make it quite formidable as a video library system...not only does it manage my vast collection with ease but in it’s current guise it is also incredibly wife friendly (most of the time)

Whilst I appreciate some things may change on their own with my upgrade to 18.0, I have a little question regarding my current and potentially future setup that I haven’t been able to find with a simple search.

I use the ‘sets’ feature to make tracking and finding movies that much easier in my main ‘Movie’ library ..it works really well for me and I wouldn’t be without it. However, I have a number of playlists that would look far better if all of the movies in it were shown as individual movies and NOT as part of a set...

A good example is an MCU playlist recently created. Rather than the multitude of individual movies included within the collection, it lists all of the Iron Man movies in their set, Captain America and Avengers are the same. Whilst I have trawled through the settings I don’t believe I’ve missed an option to keep sets out of playlists.

Is this something that I can achieve another way?

Many thanks for your time in reading this.....apologies if I may have missed an incredibly simple link to this elsewhere, but I have genuinely drawn a blank until now

Thanks again

J

Lost IMDB Scraper

Just swapped a 6TB for a 10TB and went to add everything again but I seem to have lost IMDB Scraper and its not in the "Get More" section

I tried "TheMovieDB" but its crap, I have 1454 folders in HD a lot containing more than one file but it only showed just over 1,000 and a lot of them are just given the name "@" or start with "*" and such and when I try to refresh manually with info its only bringing up the same result.

I am currently trying Universal Movie Scraper, hopefully that goes better but what happened to IMDB one?  I have tried searching forums but cant seem to find out.

Edit
Just some extra info, I have not changed Kodi version after swapping drive so there is no changes from an update/clean kodi install all I did was remove the folders and re-add them.

Edit 2
UMS seems to be duplicating some films as well.

Too many fanart images for scrapers: Data too long for MySQL tables (error 1406)

$

I stumbled over a potential bug in the The Movie Database Scraper.
If I add a directory with tv shows to the library, only some of them are scraped.
Shows with many fanart images on tvdb cause the scraper to try to insert all these images into a field of the MyVideos database, which is refused by the mySQL server.

I use Kodi 18.0 with addons up to date: E.g. The Movie Database version 3.1.0. The database is not shared with other clients.

I configured the tv shows folder from the Netflix addon to contain tv shows, and set up the scraper "The Movie Database", which I think was set as default. I activated the settings "get Artwork from themoviedb.org" and "get extra artwork from fanart.tv".
After manually updating the information from the folder of a tv show ("The Walking Dead"), the information window stays empty (no description, no posters or artwork).
In the log I get
Quote:19:03:19.587 T:140703594206144   ERROR: SQL: [MyVideos116] Undefined MySQL error: Code (1406)
Query:  Query: UPDATE tvshow SET c00='The Walking Dead',c01= .... c06='<thumb aspect=\"poster\" preview ... \" preview=\"w780/ywHdL2ip9OaClGmHJ7mKb2CPoft.jpg\">original/ywHdL2ip9OaClGmHJ7mKb2CPoft.jpg</thumb></fanart>',c12='21682',c13='18',c14='AMC',c15='',c16='', userrating = NULL, duration = NULL WHERE idShow=142
19:05:29.582 T:140703594206144   ERROR: ExecuteQuery - failed to execute query
19:05:29.593 T:140703594206144   DEBUG: Mysql rollback transaction

I shortened the line, but is has over 100000 (one hundred thousand!) characters, since there are numerous preview images listed up. Error 1406 is "Data too long for column".
I uploaded the whole log.

Once I remove the options "get (extra) artwork...", scraping works fine.
This error was also described before for the universal movie scraper in this forum and in a German Kodi forum.
The error occurs only for shows with very much fanart, e.g. "Family Guy", "Rick and Morty", "Walking Dead". Other shows were scraped successfully.

Since no message is given in Kodi, it took me some time to figure this out.
I suggest to reduce the maximum number of fanart images and to check the length of the queries for the scrapers. Since already the scrapers "The Movie Database" and "Universal Movie Scraper" seem to be affected, this could be a general problem.

IMDB scraper - movies aren't getting poster images

$

I've recently been noticing that movie scrapes aren't always populating the movie poster images.  If I manually go into the movie info and force a refresh, it *will* grab the info.  I've tried switching over to the universal scraper but that didn't work either.  Included is a debug log of me switching back to the imdb scraper, and forcing a full re-scan.  Some movies have posters, many do not.  This seems to have started happening within the past two days.
Running libreelec 9.0 on x86 hardware.

I'm trying to upload the logfile to paste.kodi.tv but all I get is a message saying 'something went wrong!' when trying to save it... is there another preferred place to upload a large (100MB) log file?

Manual scrap missing

Usually, when a film is not scraped (using tmdb)  I go to files view, and in film menu go to "scan to database"
If the scraper does not find results, a "manual" button allows you to modify the search string
In the latest versions (at least, 18 an 18.1rc1), this button is missing. Only a window with "no information was found" title and Ok button

Tested with skin aeon nox silvo and estuary, and with scrapers Tmdb, Universal movie scraper and fimaffinity .

Hi, I've only recently updated my RPi Kodi to v17.3 and it doesn't seem to be recognising new TV shows anymore. I've attached a logfile, TVDB seems to be giving the "unable to parse website error"  (lines 3212-3217)

arexamowak (paste)

I've tried updating the TVDB add-on to the latest version as well but that didn't fix it. Anyone know if it's just stopped working, or if it's some compatibility issue with this version of Kodi?

TV Shows no longer being added

I have a folder for TV shows (as does everyone I guess).  I use Tiny Media Manager to manage my videos and this folder.  I have kodi set to scan the folder and use local information only.

Suddenly, it is no longer adding to the library.   I added a new folder (series) and scanned and it will not add it.  As an experiment, I deleted one of the shows it currently has (retaining the media) and scanned it and it won't pick up the one it already had.  I am guessing there's something flaky in a file somewhere that's causing it to stop prematurely.

I just upgraded to Leia to see if that would resolve it and it didn't.

Also using MYSQL for storing data.

Any help?

**additional info**
I turned on logging and right away I see a lot of these messages:

07:49:59.727 T:2620    INFO: ADDON: cpluff: 'An unreleased information object was encountered at address 0000016E1CBEA3B0 with reference count 1 when destroying the associated plug-in context. Not releasing the object.'

It may not be related but I thought I'd throw that in.

** more info yet **
I find a lot of these errors too:

08:01:15.228 T:4328 WARNING: XFILE::CWin32SMBDirectory::ConnectAndAuthenticate: Can't connect to "\\kodi\videos" with username "videos" and with password. Error code: 1219

I have deleted and re-added the SMB connection, which I can view files in without a hitch in kodi, and I still get this error.

Now looking at causes for this in the log file.  It occurs a few times:

Ok I think I'm stuck here. I don't know why it would be looking at thetvdb.com since I have all sources set to local information only.  I can see that it is scanning the folder for the new series in the log file but it's simply not adding it.  I can see where it says:

08:29:10.988 T:8896 WARNING: No information found for item 'smb://kodi/videos/TV/Teen Titans (2003)/', it won't be added to the library.

But I have no idea why.  The TVShow.nfo file is clearly in that folder.

Also I am seeing a number of alerts about old TV Show folders that were removed long ago.  Why would it be trying to process the folder?

Bug - Mini Series = Mini Headache

I am looking for some guidance.  I have a collection of TV Mini Series that have all been put into proper formats, placed in the TV Folder, and these title even show when I select "Title" on my TV selection.  However, when I select the title to watch the miniseries, there is nothing there (specifically, it shows no files to select to watch).  They are just blank, but the FAN-ART is present as the background or the appropriate series.  I have also tried to place these miniseries in Movies, but when I do that, the database does not acknowledge the file's presence.

Mini Series that are not showing files to watch in Kodi:
- Mists of Avalon
- 10th Kingdom
- Legend of EarthSea
- Neverland (SYFY Mini Series)
- Torchwood: Children Of Earth

I am sure that the more Mini Series I add, the more this will become prevalent.  Also, this situation has been the same regardless of file formats.  I have used .AVI, .MP4, .MOV, and .WMV

Also, I have noticed this as the same across three separate platforms: Win10, Linux, Android.  Is it possible that I am just using to wrong platform to get these files to be accessible on Kodi?

I have images to show what I mean, but currently I am unable to see how to load those here properly, I am sorry.
