TMDB movie 5.1.1 does not work anymore

Hi everyone,

When updating movie database Kodi display that TMDB scrapper is unable to connect to the server.

I can read this in the logfile :
ERROR: CCurlFile::Open failed with code 401 for https://api.tmdb.org/3/search/movie?api_...=.....(the rest of url)
ERROR: Run: Unable to parse web site

I tried this url in my browser and I got this :
Code:
status_code7status_message"Invalid API key: You must be granted a valid key."successfalse

So I tried the same url in my browser but with my TMDB API key and it wroked great.

I guess the problem comes from API key that is invalid.

Is there anyone to help me please ?

(My box run LibreELEC 8.2.3.)

Artwork Beef on Kodi 18 not scraping correctly? Has all generic icons.

Almost none of my thumbnails are showing up for my TV Shows in a clean install of Kodi 18 using Estuary Mod 18 with all of the required add-ons and dependencies installed. This is a portable install. It doesn't matter which version of Kodi 18 since I have tried several different nightly releases from the 11th to current and none of them seem to fix this issue.
While scraping using XEM as the information provider, I have about 1 in a 100 TV Shows that will display a thumbnail. The scrape goes through without error and the Artwork Beef goes for about half an hour until it finally finishes. I get no errors and this is what my Kodi 18 looks like (the blank one under Unwatched TV Shows is what the majority of them look like):

I've checked the Missing Movies add-on and there is nothing in the missing episodes except for the mislabled shows but after I fix them they seem to scrape but they look like above examples.
What I've had to do is to copy all of my thumbnails and the actual database from a Kodi 17 portable install and things look normal ... until I add a new episode or TV Show then the above is true.

Also, I have tried using TheMovieDB as the information provider when scraping and most of the posters will appear, but no banners, clearart, etc. Using TheTVDB as the information is no different than using XEM.

Any ideas on where to begin to solve this issue?

Thanks for your time,

Chris

Bug - script.module.metahandler

All ish I'm trying to point out an issue with the metahandler version 2.9.0. Please keep it civil or just remove this thread. I'm not here to say I told you so or anything like that. I just want to get the metahandler issues addressed so myself and others can use it as intended. I don't care who fixes the issues as long as someone does. I'm not hear to talk about my "poor code" or anything like that either.

I'm going to post 4 text files. 3 files that show the issues with retrieving tv shows using the current version 2.9.0 which are not working correctly and one using the version 3.0.3 which is working correctly.

Title = Show title without year
Year = 4 digit year(yyyy) as string

First test using version 2.9.0, meta = metaget.get_meta('tvshow', name='Title').
Notice Empire and The Flash. It retrieves the wrong shows because there are multiple shows with that title from different years. These are only 2 examples of many shows I have come across that match incorrectly or dont match at all.
https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/k9tXzpBWfc/

Second test using version 2.9.0, meta = metaget.get_meta('tvshow', name='Title (Year)').
Barely anything matches but does match Empire and The Flash correctly.
https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/HzHFRcWH6D/

Third test using version 2.9.0, meta = metaget.get_meta('tvshow', name='Title', year='Year').
Barely anything matches but does match Empire and The Flash correctly.
https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/Nr6b4XyJWx/

Fourth test using my updated version 3.0.3, meta = metaget.get_meta('tvshow', name='Title', year='Year').
Notice all shows match correctly including Empire and The Flash.
https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/gHPXMNjcgY/

I would like to also point out in version 2.9.0 the log is plagued with errors like these below.
Quote:18:49:25.413 T:22904   DEBUG: metahandler:  Some info missing in TVdb for TVshow *** Married at First Sight (AU) ***. Will search imdb for more

I think Brian over at omdbapi.com would appreciate someone doing something about all the denied requests to his site. Version 2.9.0 is inadvertently ddos'ing his site and api.

Android - TV shows are not showing up in the TV Shows page.

New to the forum and my first post.
I recently purchased a Firestick and installed Kodi. I have my media files (movies and TV shows) stored on a USB drive attached to a DD-WRT router and accessed by smb://LZDCD1/Movies/ and smb://LZDCD1/TV Shows/. The movies and TV shows are mainly stored as ISO files but there are some .mpg files. I have successfully set up the Movies in the library and can play them from the main Movies page. I am having trouble with the TV shows. I have read the wiki for the folder format and naming conventions for the TVDB. I was initially able to get a couple of TV shows to show up on the TV page and play them but when I updated the library they disappeared.

From the File Manager I can see all of the TV show files.
From the Media settings/Library/Videos/Movies I can see all of the movies.
From the Media settings/Library/Videos/TV shows all I see is ..  No files are listed.
Displaying TV Shows at the main screen, but not selecting it I can see the fanart for Poldark and Victoria but when I select TV shows the list is just ..

I turned the debug logging on and restarted Kodi
I went back to the Media settings/Library/Videos/TV shows and changed the content to none and back to TVDB and refreshed.

The TV shows remained empty.

The log file has been uploaded to http://ix.io/Q2p

Is there any other information that I need to add?

Any help with what I'm doing wrong would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Ian

Hi. Has anyone had any problems with the TMDB scraper 5.1.2? I used 14 folders as samples to build a library. Only 3 of them were scraped successfully. Using TMDB scraper version 5.1.2 on Kodi 17.6 on LibreELEC 8.2.3.

Log file here

I also tried using Universal scraper and same problem. Sorry if it's a LibreELEC problem. Please let me know. Thanks!

I am running Kodi 16.1 with TMDV version 4.0.2.  I know I'm on old versions, I hate updating things!  I just wanted to see if I could fix this as is or if an update would even help.  It also mentions cache problems, but seems like the connection issues are causing the cache issue, not creating it.  Here is my log, any help would be greatly appreciated.

TheTVDB - DVD order scraping doesn't work

Hello,

I did a lot of research for this but never found a working solution: I have a TV Show with the episodes named in DVD order. I tried to scrape them with the DVD Order option as indicated here : https://www.reddit.com/r/kodi/comments/5...ples_with/But it didn't work. Even after completely removing the folder from the library and reupdating the library, the episodes are still displayed in Aired order. At first I thought the decimal naming with .0 could have been the issue but it didn't change anything. The series I'm having problem with is Kaamelott, a French TV Show. For example, one of the episodes files is named "Kaamelott - 4x046.0 - La Relève.mkv", 46 being its number in DVD order on TheTVDB.com : https://www.thetvdb.com/index.php?lid=7&...rder=aired And even after removing the series from the library, changing the scrapers parameters for the whole series to DVD order and updating the library, this file is still displayed as "46 - Les Tacticiens - 2ème partie" in Season 4.Could anyone help me with that or will I have to edit the .nfo of this kind of episodes ?
Thanks

I tried posting in the META thread but no one answered after 2+ weeks.  Perhaps someone knows what is wrong with my setup?  Here is my post:
https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2705051

I am guessing I don't understand how Kodi/META/my library/add-ons are 'interconnected'?

Is there some kind of data flow diagram of Kodi, data stores, ... somewhere?

TMDB scraper not working for 2 librraries

I have around 8 different movie libraries and most of them are fine with TMDB scraper.

However for 2 of these it's giving the error. What could this mean?

All of a sudden in the last two days (with no changes to Kodi or the scraper), the TVDB scraper stopped working.

This is Kodi v17.6 running on Linux (Opensuse Leap). TVDB scraper 3.0.1

Looking at the logs, it seems the initial call to login to pass the API Key for kodi to get the token for further calls is failing with SSL error 35.

Scraper problems- LibreElec

Hello guys, I just registered in this wonderful board only for EMM Smile

I have a little "issue" with EMM and the Kodi-Scraper and would like your opinion on this.

First things first: I use Kodi with MySQL. The database is on my private homeserver. EMM has not touched the Kodi-database as far as I can tell. I only used EMM to sort my files and create the according folders. After everything was sorted, I only ran the Kodi-internal scraper against my video files. These files also are stored on that homeserver and accessed via samba.

Now, here's the thing: The Kodi scraper ONLY see's new video files (movies or TV-Shows, doesn't matter) AFTER I have ran EMM and clicked it's "refresh database". As far as I can tell this has nothing to do with the Kodi-database but with EMMs internal database, am I right? It basically creates the NFO files and downloads the thumbnails.

Once this is done, the Kodi scraper finds new episodes / new movies. It seems to ignore movies / episodes which do not have their nfo-file with them.

Is this the case and can it be avoided? I would like to be able to scan my files only with Kodi after I have put a new episode into the folder.

Thank you very much for your great work. If I had had to rename all those files and put them into their folders I would have killed myself by now... or gotten drunk... or both Smile

Scraper fails when using symlinks over NFS

$

Hi,

Debug log, scanning a internally-mounted NFS share: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/mv4QvFPTbZ/
Debug log, scanning an OS-mounted NFS share: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/VDZbm5HBd9/

I'm not sure if this is a bug, or just the unfortunate consequence of expected behavior, or even if I'm posting this in the best place, so apologies in advance if I'm not.

I use Kodi as a frontend to recordings from a MythTV system. MythTV produces file names of the format '2124_20161207092900.ts' and I use myth2kodi to generate kodi-friendly file names which symlink back to the original file. So a typical file-path will be of the format:

Code:
[mythtv@Myth ~]$ ls -la /mnt/media_04/kodi/Doug/tv/Twirlywoos/Season\ 1/Twirlywoos\ S01E01\ \(Full\).ts
lrwxrwxrwx 1 mythtv mythtv 55 May 27  2017 '/mnt/media_04/kodi/Doug/tv/Twirlywoos/Season 1/Twirlywoos S01E01 (Full).ts' -> /mnt/media_04/myth/tv_recordings/2124_20170124092900.ts

This has worked perfectly and the library gets populated correctly, apart from when I try to use kodis' internal NFS mount system to mount the disks from a remote frontend. If I do that, I get the show info added to the library, but no episodes within the shows.
Looking at the log, it has this at line 7266 of the first debug log:

Code:
15:35:27.399 T:1295029152 DEBUG: VideoInfoScanner: Found episode match nfs://192.168.1.16:2049//mnt/media_01/myth/tv_recordings/2124_20170627161300.ts (s21e24) [[\\/\._ -]([0-9]+)([0-9][0-9](?Sad?:[a-i]|\.[1-9])(?![0-9]))?)([\._ -][^\\/]*)$]

It looks like the scanner is using the original filename, and not the name of the symlink. Is this what it should be doing?
If i create an NFS mount to the same place via the OS, then the scanner uses the name of the symlink, and correctly identifies the file and adds it to the library, see line 5971 of the second debug log:

Code:
12:24:37.474 T:1816130464   DEBUG: VideoInfoScanner: Found episode match /storage/tvshows/Twirlywoos/Season 1/Twirlywoos S01E01 (Full).ts (s1e1) [s([0-9]+)[ ._x-]*e([0-9]+(?Sad?:[a-i]|\.[1-9])(?![0-9]))?)([^\\/]*)$]

Is this a bug? or is it the unfortunate result of the way nfs works internally?

Thanks for any guidance

TMDB scraper ignores the laguage setting for movie poster image

TMDB Scraper - just URL parsing in NFO files?

$

Hi folks, nice to be here, I'm new to the forums, hailing from Germany...

First, I am not a techie, but I do get along.
Just a short question concerning NFO files...

I use Kodi 16 Jarvis on OpenElec 7 on an Asrock HTPC, my files are on an external USB HDD, movies and tvshows in separate directories, and each movie / tvshow has its own directory, named after the movie / tvshow and airing date (e.g. "Inglourious Basterds (2009)").
Scraping via TMBD usually works fine, I recently found out how to substitute "*" of a tvshow name in the file name on the HDD (tvshow name: "The End of the f***ing World", filename: "The End of the f---ing World") ;-)
Until this point, the scraper didn't find this particular tvshow und so didn't add it to the library.

I was wondering - I usually put the movie.nfo / tvshow.nfo in the directory of the movie / tvshow, consisting only of the corresponding TMDB URL , with no XML tags (in this case: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/74577-the-...king-world )
Shouldn't have the scraper parsed the URL in the NFO if he couldn't use the directory name?
If not, do I really need to add XML tags for the URL?

According to https://kodi.wiki/view/NFO_files/movies, the URL should be sufficient?
"When Kodi locates the nfo file it will load the *.nfo file and:
[...]
2. If the file is a parsing nfo, Kodi will parse the nfo file for a direct URL to the scraper info page, then scrape the online metadata."

I would appreciate if someone could help me with this...

Bug - The TVDB - OriginalTitle of TV Shows doesn't exist

Hi,

I'm using json in order to get the original title of the tv show.

But when checking the tvshow table in the 'MyVideos107.db", column c09 (=originaltitle), all the column values are empty.

My settings are get info in Hebrew and fallback in English.

But I need the originaltitle for other purpose, so why this addon (metadata.tvdb.com) doesn't get and set the original title also?

Code:
request = {"jsonrpc": "2.0", "id": 1 , "method": "VideoLibrary.GetTVShowDetails", "params": {"tvshowid": int(tvshowid), "properties": ["originaltitle"]}}
results = json.loads(xbmc.executeJSONRPC(json.dumps(request)))
tvshowFile = results["result"]["tvshowdetails"]["originaltitle"]
