Audio scraper down?

Hello everyone,

Sorry if my English is bad (I'm French).

I use KODI 17.3 installed on my nas qnap and I have a for a few days a problem only with the music scraper (audiodb and universal album / artist) while usually everything works correctly.

I wanted to scrape a new repertory but no artist or album is recognized (although it is about artists that one finds on audiodb). I did tests with audiodb and universal album / artist scraper and here are my results. When I select my source and I click on add the files to the multimedia library:

- With the universal scraper: a search without result is done only by universal album scraper and without parallel search with universal artist scraper
- With audiodb scraper: the directory is loaded very quickly without analysis (scan only). The result is the same, no artist or album is recognized.

 After tests I managed to recover the fanarts and biography of the artists only with audiodb by doing a search on all the artists via the contextual menu. For albums, nothing at all. With universal scraper no info found (message : failed to download album information)

I despair a little. Huh I have no idea of ​​the origin of this problem: with the videos everything works without problem. So:

- Do you know if there is currently a problem with audio craps or is it coming from my home?
- Is my problem related to the inability to connect to musicbrainz.org?
- Can this come from a problem accessing databases or port?

Movie Scraper suddenly stopped working

Hey there,

I'm using Kodi 17.3 with the latest LibreELEC release (RPi2.arm-8.0.2) on a Raspberry Pi 3. Everything worked fine for the last few months, but all of a sudden I'm not able to scrape newly added movies. Here's an excerpt of my log file:

I have no idea what's wrong... I used the correct filename every time, and it occured for the last 10~ movies I added. Important: For TV shows, everything works absolutely fine.

Hi guys, since from the last 10 days (more or less) I'm not anymore able to catch movies' info using the two scrapers in the subject. They are the unique ones (AFAIK) which are able to retrieve information in italian language.
MoviePlayer simply skips the 95% of the movies (before was exactly the opposite...), while MyMovies start to scan the library, but after 20-30 movies stops, raising the message "is not possible to connect to the server".

I tried with Kodi Krypton 17.3 on both a Wetek Media Player2 and a Sony 4K Android TV, and also on a RPI2 running LibrElec 8.0. Same results....

Any ideas , suggestions? Are there other scrapers able to manage italian language-based movies?

Scrape TV series using IMDB

I can't seem to get a TV series to scrape from IMDB. It is only listed on IMDB. Is there a scraper that searches IMDB? I would think there would be as IMDB is major source of info. Nothing on TVDB. Thanks in advance.

"Unable to Connect" to Movie Database

I'm running the latest stable version of Kodi on Windows 10 and having trouble with the Movie Database scraper, which gives me "Unable to connect" errors all the time. I can open the site in the browser on the same computer with issue, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

I have tried other movie info scrapers and can't seem to get any of them to work, either. I'm in China, if that makes a difference (I figured this problem might be because the Movie Database is blocked in China as IMDB is, but it's not).

Any idea what I can do to fix this? All of TV shows are indexed properly but it's just movies where Kodi has no data.

managing multiple scrapers

I use the simple file structure at the moment

I have to use multiple scrapers, since not all TV shows are available/complete in a single database. For each scraper I have to define a directory path. It can either be the directory of multiple TV shows or of a single TV show. If I choose "TV Shows" (path in simple file structure) for each scraper, they come into conflict with each other. Configuring the scraper for each TV show directory ("TV Show 1", "TV Show 2 (year)", "TV Show 3", etc. in simple file structure) in the UI on my TV is cumbersome. I could create a root directory for each scraper (configuration)

TVDB scrapper using incorrect order

It seems as though, for at least a couple shows, TVDB scrapper is using either the DVD release number, or the "combined episode number," from the API to sort episodes. I exported my library to see what the issue is, and below is an example from Check It Out! with Dr. Steve Brule (http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=163751):

The combined episode number and DVD episode number are both 1, but the absolute number and episode number are 4 (which is what I would expect). I'm guessing it's most likely using the Combined_episodenumber field, which doesn't appear to be something a standard user can edit on TVDB. It would be better if this used the episode number instead.

Problems with Universal Movie Scrapper

Hi!

1) My system:

Debian = 8.8
Kodi = Version: 15.2
Universal movie Scrapper = 2.8.6

2) Problem:

Movie images do not appear in the main menu

IMDb & Trakt help please

Can someone please tell me how to disable IMDb because I'm not being able to save movies in my trakt manager and I think IMDb is the reason why. Or if anyone knows why, when I hold down the select button, the option to "save in trakt" is no longer there (it used to be) I would really appreciate a little help. This issue i am having is on an Amazon fire stick.

Thank you kindly for any & all help I receive. I am a clueless noob when it comes to kodi & being a quadriplegic makes it really difficult to look up stuff on the internet. So every bit of feedback related to or unrelated to this topic is truly appreciated by me.

Mod-edit: a bit of added interpuction helps the readability.

REGEX for \[year] film name\ folders

My films are stored as

\films\[2009] Moon\moon.2009.bluray.mkv

These used to scrape fine. But some stage when the upgrade to Krypton happened I found my films now won't scrape and I need to manually select each one. I realise this is because the Year is on the front of the folder names instead of at the end.

Is there any way to get KODI to scrap my folder layout? I have been trying to get my head around REGEX but can't work out what I'd need to add to the advancedsettings.xml

"TV Show" library won't get populated Kodi 17.3 in Nvidia shield 2017

Initially it worked , I was able to add files and see it in the TV show Library. After 22 TV shows, it stop doing it, I cannot add anymore TV shows. I keep getting the episode error notices on the screen. I exhausted all the options I have read online , so I uninstalled Kodi and reinstall it again. It is still the same I cannot add any media file on the TV show or any other library except on the Movie Library. I did not change any settings , I can only watch this TV shows if I go to the sources folders. Many thanks in advance to anyone that can help me.

Requirement for Local Scraping - Is an NFO Mandatory?

My understanding is that scrapers check locally before checking the net.

I have a few videos none of the scrapers (including the Universal one) will pick up.

I will download the cover from the net, rename it according to the standard and put it in the same directory.

The question is, Is it necessary to create an NFO file or will the video be indexed in the library solely with a coverart JPG? My preference is not to bother with the NFO

MOD-edit: we don't need a question in braille size. The vast majority of Kodi forum visitors can read normal text just fine.

Tried resetting the option and restarting kodi but still taking the ratings from themoviedb instead. Switched to Universal Movie Scraper as workaround to get the imdb ratings.

Unable to scrape NCIS show information

So weird issue with just one TV program. All my other TV shows (and movies for that matter) download the information correctly. The TV show NCIS no longer will download information. It used to but now after letting it scrape (either with TVDB or Movie database) it will find no information. It will pull in a thumbnail (though that may be from something it sees in the file instead).

If I refresh an episode it previously scraped, it will blank out that information too. THe year it aired will show 12/31/1969.

This is driving me crazy. Anyone have any ideas on how ot fix this?

Movies in ZIP FILE Folder-Auto Artwork Covers

Dear Gents,

Thanks for your support. I managed to insert individual movie covers using FANART/ART WORK. Doing one by one takes time, My question is that in case I have all movies in one ZIP FILE, is it possible ART WORK to do automatic covers? or still I have to select movie by movie in the library?. Let me know if possible and how. Thanks.

TV Shows no longer getting added to the library

Heya,

Just noticed that for some reason my TV Shows isn't getting added any longer.. and the issue must have started sometime between the 17th of June and 24th of June.
I've been reading through other peoples threads that has had similar problems but haven't found anything that could solve my issues and are hoping that someone might have a quick solution for me Wink

I have Kodi 17.3 installed on a Nvidia Shield.

I have the following scraper versions installed:

TMDB 3.9.5
TMDB tvshows 1.3.6
TMDB common library 2.16.0
TVDB 1.8.5

Universal Movie Scraper

The following movie:
"The Sunset Limited" 2011 (with Samuel Jackson & Tommy Lee Jones)

Keeps being incorrectly identified as
"Till Sunset" 2011

It does not matter what I do. It wants the wrong name.

Who's in charge of fixing your records? It does not matter how many times I rename the file with different names to get your scraper to properly identify the movie, it insists on the wrong name.

Your data base needs some kind of "Submit bug" or some kind of name issue ticket system.
